well my first day went well=)
I think i am going to like my job. everyone is soo nice. people kept introducing themselves and were like 'if you need anything even if it's where to take your car to get fixed just ask' I felt very special!
I mostly shadowed Holly, a veteran of the police beat. she showed me the ropes and told me how to do things such as go on rounds, which means i have to go to the cspd, bpd, dps and sheriff's office daily to look at reports and touch base with cops. i met a lot of cool cop friends haha. they seem really nice and some i have dealt with before, so it was pretty cool.
i didn't get to write anything yet--well i did write a brief--but it doesn't get a byline. so hopefully in Wednesday's paper i will--i will keep ya posted.
but man im exhausted...working 10 hours does that, but it's all part of the job.
oh and i have my own desk, phone number(complete with voice mail) AND e-mail!! haha not even The Batt can top that;) haha jk
of course when the time comes to be stressful i am sure i will have different thoughts about my job!
