Info changed!

Okay so I just spent most of my night wrestling with html for my userinfo with the help of the lovely lapifors, so I ask that you guys check it out and tell me if anything is buggy, and if so, which browser you're on.

It seems to be fine on firefox but on my IE7 some of it is a bit...special. (One of the boxes seems to be blue/green? Despite the ( Read more... )

if you're using tables. Put it in the table tags for that specific cel.

And yeah, one has a funky color in IE(6). If you give me a few minutes, I could figure it out and fix it for you if you'd like.

You have some really funky HTML going for you. Did you code it all yourself or did you use a program (out of curiosity)?

I used what Laura gave me for the tables, the html in the bodies of text are mine and have accumulated over time >.> I've probably gone the long way around doing things, I don't claim any knowledge of html at all, quite the reverse...

Which bits? lol

problem found: you have double "" around the hex codes. See, this is yours:
...

It should be:
...

Also, you don't have to td align="top center" all over the place. You can just align="top" for the td's, and align="center" in the very first table code like this:

Also...in general, the HTML is kind of sloppy (meaning I'm litterally picking things apart and saying "WHY are you using this!?" to bits and pieces). I'm really good with basic HTML (including tables) and bits and pieces of DHTML, and I actually make userinfos for profiledesign in my free time. If you'd like, I can go through and fix it up to make it a bit easier to handle for you.

Thank you so much! I spent ages combing through it and kept missing things. I know why they're there too...because stupidly I did it in Word and it does fancy speech marks, those were there instead of proper ones.

If you didn't mind cleaning it up I would be eternally grateful, but only if you want to and have the time, I don't want to make someone ELSE sit and stare at it too.

I send you much love hugs and cookies for this, its been frustrating me for hours.

I already went through half of it to try to figure out your original problem (it's an organization thing). I'd say 10 minutes and I'll have it done, if that. I'll post the code in a comment (or email you a .html file, either way you can save it in Notepad and keep for future reference).

Besides, it's the least I can do for all the great art you post (on here and your DA, which btw, I ♥ to no end and always get excited when I see an update from you).

There are no words for how much I want to hug you >.> weird and creepy as that may be :P Thank you so much!

Um...can I be cheeky and ask if you know whats up with my main page at the bottom? >.> If its something small I can fix it easy. I think its because I'm using code from another layout for the disjointed one. Oh, how I miss using NetObjects Fusion >.>

I shall have to update my dA more then!

Hugs all 'round! Like I said, I do this in my free time, so it's not a big deal; at least you didn't use FrontPage. That stuff is rediculous trying to go through and deleate all of the unneeded "HTML".

Main page as in minimcr? What am I specifically looking for that's wrong if you could give me a hint?

Woot for updates!

If you scroll right to the bottom, the bit that is supposed to be for navigation is too long and all broken up, (it says skip, and right to the right hand side says backward) which gives me a scroll bar along the bottom :/ Probably only about 1 in 4567890 people will notice though. And the box around my icon has a line missing, but again, not too bad.

Frontpage? I wouldn't TOUCH it, it's MICROSOFT...says the girl on a pc using windows and ie7....*sigh*
Whatever, macs frustrate me.

I hate IE7. I freaked out when my dad installed it and it took us forever to figure out how to remove it to reinstall IE6 back. I can only hope to buy myself a Mac soon.

I would have to get REALLY hardcore into your styles, but then again I don't really know dot.net (which is the programing language that LJ uses with basic styles). I could take a look at it, but I may not be of much use.

And before I hardcore fuck with your userinfo, do you really want all of your text centered in your right column? Because I was going to play with the table codes as soon as I was done getting rid of the junk tags.

I don't honestly mind, as long as its not right centered, I can always change that since its easier... >.> Everything still might need tweaked, but thats just the content of the boxes.

um, IE7 is EXACTLY like Safari on mac. Just like the new media player wants to be itunes. My hate of macs simply comes from: The mouse with one button. WHAT. Using photoshop on here - all the shortcuts use an apple key on mac. And the fact that here I have a tablet, and there I use the ONE BUTTON MOUSE!!

:D?

Don't worry about the main page then, I think it's just...gah, I don't know. I did my lj with the same style and the nav bit was weird too, even though I used S2. Stupid Disjointed.

Yeah, I hate Safari. If I get a Mac, I would totally install IE6 for Mac on it just because I love IE so much (I've tried to switch, really I have). I used Photoshop CS2 on a Mac for one of my classes last summer and just loved it. Aside from the fact that I can't right click, I don't really have a problem with it.

I'm almost done tweeking and fixing. I'll add it so the images are aligned to the top, too, for you.

I'm conditioned to do ctrl alt z to undo (or rather, step backwards in history) so when I'm on a mac I'm cursing like a sailor in my head at the stupid keyboard >.> and all the other command like ctrl u, ctrl d are ALL APPLE KEY instead of ctrl. I LIVE off shortcuts.

I guess I use pc photoshop too much. And a tablet. My mouse work is nothing short of horrifying.

Because it's so long, I had to upload it. Open via Notepad and copy/paste: DOWNLOAD ME

I actually don't use shortcuts...and if I had a drawing tablet (which I really do need to invest in), I would use it to no end.

Hope this is good for you. If anything comes up in the way of HTML, I wouldn't mind helping you out again. =)

yes its all nice and neat now! <3...although I pasted it in and it has put several spaces before the table...and I have no idea why. There are no spaces in the info box I pasted it in. O_o and it's put loads of spaces in...where there aren't any in your html document. Is that LJ?
