For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I've spent most of my evenings since Memorial Day weekend playing either Sims 3 or Sims 4.
I have, as I've been iMessaging friends, gamed myself into eyestrain and have to wear my reading glasses while computing (very weak correction, mild tint, specifically for eyestrain, I got them when I was working in a building with horrible lighting).
I *think* I have hit a good stopping point. Well, a point where I can stop.
I mean, it's more embarrassing than just gaming: I have modded the fuck out of the game*. Sims 4 especially, because it runs native on the Mac and not with some freakass emulation crap, so I can go as uncanny valley as possible with my Sims. (I spend as much time skinning them as playing them.)
My save games are all variations of Dead Dove, except for the one that's Lesbian Drama (I think that's what I named it). My Sims are all either lifted from or loosely based on fandom characters. It's a very effective method of procrastination: why write, when I can just make the figures on the screen DO WHAT I WANT THEM TO DO! MWAHAHAHAHA!
*Out of may be the wrong term here. Into may be more accurate. I say may be. I mean is.
