I'm sort of confused when it comes to how to celebrate Easter - I've celebrated, and not celebrated it, in several countries and it's all a bit muddled up now, I realise, since my parents have gone away all weekend (Grandma's 95th and I can't come as I have the cat) and Magnus is away too (studio). So I'm all on my own trying to remember what one eats. I failed to find unleavened bread, and lamb was too expensive, so I invented sushi as an Easter tradition, instead of rollmops, and come on, it does have salmon on it, so it's perfect. Mia agreed, so maybe we have a new Easter tradition. Goes great with boiled eggs, too.
And I found out the Swedish Easter bunny is NOT a nice guy who brings chocolate. He creeps into farms, leaving green slimy trails, and milks the cows. I so didn't see that one coming, since bunnies don't tend to drink milk, do they, nor leave slimy green trails!
Apart from that, I've mainly done laundry, cleaned, slept and petted the cat, and there's 1½ day left of peaceful bliss, or window cleaning to be boring but exact. And shower cleaning. And scrubbing the kitchen cupboards. Maaaaan, this is what made me go back to bed after breakfast and sleep 2 more hours, making me rather tired and dizzy now afterwards.
Oh well, I better go give Houdini the cat some attention. It's his new name since I tied him on a long piece of string when I did laundry the other day. 5 mins later I return, see a medium sized black cat at the other end of the yard, and sure enough, there's a log piece of string with his collar and all on, lying where I left him, but no cat... I would've loved to see how he got out of that one! So I went to catch him, and he came running to me. Damn, if he was my cat I'd get him a proper collar and let him roam free. He gets to go out on a lead once a day, so I do spoil him, but he's used to roaming free so he's not a happy indoors cat.
