Excellent Quote
In an attempt to cheer myself up [as best I could considering], I was reading Margret Cho's blog. I was reading her review of Gibson's Passion when I came across this sentiment that made me feel so great:
"This is why I am a Christian, and a devout one. God and love cannot be separated, because they are one and the same."-Cho
This sentiment just struck me hard. First off, I believe this myself. Even with the problems I face regarding the people and some of the dogma's, I still embrace Christianity because love and forgiveness is what it all boils down to. That's why I can't give it up. Even if I think I'm damned for doubting, thinking I'm gay, or whatever; God loves me and forgives me and I love God for that.
Secondly, I never knew Margret Cho considered herself a practicing Christian. I know she rails against certain Christian groups, but I never knew she was practicing. Also, her humor is also very naughty and out there. Not to say you can't be a Christian and have humor like that; I have humor like that. I just thought I was the only Christian who was like that. Not to mention she's all for homosexuals and lesbians. It's always comforting to know there are other Christians out there aside from me who are for gays.
