(no subject)
1 DAY TIL I GET THE KEYS FOR THE FLAT!! AAAaaaaahhhhhhh!
It's actually driving me mental. This week is going ridiculously slowly, it doesn't help that work is quiet. I'm going to pay my rent tonight so that Sian and Rick can pick up the keys in the morning, but I won't be able to go over until I have finished work at 4ish tomorrow! Nooooooooo! It's agony I tells ye! I hate my current house more and more by the day (I couldn't get in the bathroom for 45 mins this morning and it made me really angry and late for work.) I am just fed up of living in an overcrowded shithole!! 1 MORE DAY until I have a new place that I can escape to! Must keep myself busy...
And as for other stuff, Download was really good this year. I stayed in posh camping and although it was a little quiet for my liking, you can get into standard anyway so you get the best of both worlds. Also having running water and real toilets for the whole weekend was amazing! I am quite looking forward to slumming it at V though - very different experiences but fun all the same!
Overall I had a right good time though, highlights included the boardie BBQ, porcupine tree, lamb of god, killswitch engage and maiden. Machine Head were good but a) the sound was a bit shit and b) the set was too short (not their fault!)
Also Sunday I spent all day feeling like I was about to die! Saturday night I had gone a bit overboard with the alcohol and the 'real ale shot tasting session' proper fucked me over. I was horrendously drunk, but was applauded for being the drunkest person that anyone has ever seen who managed not to fall over! Sunday though I didn't get up til gone 12, missed the first few bands and just sat there in the arena feeling like shit. I then went for a wander and in the unclassiest moment of my life to date, I was sick inside the arena in front of a load of people who were cheering, clapping, looking disgusted and taking photos. Oh dear, I hate to think where that image may end up!
A good weekend though I feel!
