Life is a celebration of everything we have
Death is viewed as a loss of “everything” we have
Death has been in existence since life came to be
But death is unwelcomed and more often feared
Why do we cry when someone dies?
Does it have anything to do with how we perceive death?
Or do we not count death as part of man’s journey
That we do not think of it as often as we do about life?
To die and to be born are not choices given to us
Someone up there decides on the time
For us to be born and for us to move on to the afterlife
Someone powerful enough whose wisdom is incomprehensible
We cry because we grieve
We grieve because we feel the loss
We are melancholy because of the pain
There is pain because of the thought of separation
When someone dies we often think of ourselves first
We magnify our loss, we pity ourselves leaving us grieving
It is all about us and our loss, thus, it is only after
Coming to terms with the loss can we move on
We forget that death is freedom from suffering
Death is the unfettering of our loved ones from pain
Death is deliverance from physical torments
Death is the way to free the soul for it to move on to the next realm
Death is never a joyful occasion
For as long as we think of ourselves, our loss
It will only be a celebration when we shift
Our focus to the freedom it brought to the one who passed away
Death is a celebration of a new leg of our journey
Death brings our souls nearer to our Creator
Death is freedom from physical chains
And death, if possible, should be not a reason to cry
We thought God allows bad things happen and let people die
These things are bound to happen, it is part of His plan
God did not promise that there will be no sufferings, nor death
God’s love tells us that He is always with us
In this time when someone dies
He is nearest to us, He understands our pain
It is in this time when He holds us closest
Because it is only His love that will see us through
Ad majorem Dei gloriam!
