Muwhahahahaha!!! I'm half tempted to send you a plane ticket here, so you can come in and throw a hissy fit at stupid Beaky. Be sure to say something derogatory about his face, okay?

Yes, it's $550 for ONE class. It's university, remember? *lol* A whole year for me is like $6000. Actually, it's considered cheap compared to many other places, but it's still a lot of money!!

*lol* Genius! I'll just get my brother to lurk around with a video camera so it will be captured on screen forevermore! And he can't do much, cause you can't fight with the customers! It's not like you were doing anything threatening either (so he can't kick you out), since you're only insulting him.

Oh yeah, those crazy USA tuitions! Is college tuition way different than university ones there?

And get on MSN if you're still online!!!!

*lol* Why was meeting your friend's brother weird?

I mean, is your tuition expensive?

Oh...because I dunno, it was awkward LoL i dunno, just because we didn't know him, but we kinda talked to him...:)

Oh mine isn't but my friend's are. mine is like $230 for classes alone. my friend's can get up to like 20,000 for classes (no dorm, no books etc...)

I guess it depends on the brother. Was he older or younger?

What! You're paying $230 for all of your classes? Is that what you mean? Holy cow!! I pay that much for maybe two textbooks....

the brother was older...gah we hst such a time to get our friend to let us go over, because he was afraid that his brother would tell us embarassing stories about him (which he did) LoL

yeah 216 for all my classes, each unit is $18 (which is up from the $11 it was last year) and I'm taking 12 units (there is like ten bucks here and there for like other stuff like getting your grades sent home to you, and then like a health plan thingie? i dunno) so yeah....textbooks are still regular price yeah probably about $100 used :( bah

I haven't gone to the store yet but I should go soon...

Hee hee. Older brother rocks for telling embarrassing stories. I like meeting yougner brothers better initially, cause they are easier to talk to. I dunno. the older ones seem more secretive, unless they are the kind that don't keep their mouth shut!

Oh shit! I hate you so much! I cannot believe your college classes are so cheap! I know people in college here and they have to pay at least $2000 for a year!

yes, older brother does rock for that :D, and since our friend did let us go, we eased up on him a bit...instead of using it to torture him all we could LoL

well, a lot of the college is in the name, like the brand name type of thing, mine, would be the most generic cheap you can get, where my friends are going to UC Berkeley, and UC Davis (both are which like 20,000 for classes alone (not including books, not including dorms, not including other fees such as the $200 orientation, $100 acceptance fee, $400 reservation for dorm fee) gah theirs seriously adds up.

so like the least expensive to most expensive (tuition ONLY) is like community college (mine, like 200 ish a semisiter), state college (10,000 ish), state University (20,000 ish), private college (30,000+ ) not all the ones around here are all that cheap LoL and you can only go so far. so i can get my general education done there (first two years of college) completed, but I have to go two years to a UC or State so get any degree.

Wow!! I so totally did not know all of that! I cannot believe educaion costs so much in the States, and that it's divided up like that!

And your friends are sure paying a lot of fees! Okay, our orientation is FREE, cause it's all volunteers. Geez. That's crazy stuff! 30 000+ a year for private college? My god, only rich kids can go!

teriberri21 August 11 2004, 00:07:28 UTC
yeah only rich kids go to private schools, or EXTREMELY smart ones that can manage a full scholarship. na orientation is like when they get their id cards and they stay a night in the dorms I think, and stuff...i guess all of that adds up? i didn't know how much it was either until they started telling me. :( bah yeah my books are gonna be like $300 ish i just found out today:(

Yeah, I know it's hard to get full scholarships in the US to expensive schools. Oh yeah, I keep forgetting that a lot of people live in dorms. Wow, yeah, my expenses would go up so much if I had to live on campus.

Oh, boo hoo. My text books are gonna be at least $1000. But, $300 is still gonna be a lot, so I'll lay off you.
