HOME!

Castor is home, thanks to a phonecall from a nice lady who lives on the cul-de-sac behind ours. She saw him sitting between here AC unit and house this morning and called Mom.

She refused the reward money, stating that she didn't want to change her luck. From the description of things, I think she may be buddist. So what I'm thinking of doing is leaving her a small token in secret and donating the reward money to an animal shelther/rescue group. Two possible ideas for a token have been a bouquet of flowers grown in our garden or a potted plant. Any other ideas that would be appropriate? I want to keep the good karma flowing for the kittens and I, plus it just feels like the right thing to do.

RJ is happy that everyone is back where they belong. Castor has been microchipped, as well as bathed to remove poison oak residue, partially shaved to keep bite wounds clean, medicated to prevent infection, and given a physical by the vet. He lost 0.62 pounds... not sure if that's just from this weekend or if it's b/c I changed their food a few months ago. The vet was ok with the weight loss, since his weight was 12.71 lbs in February... and now it's 12.09. So it's better for his overall health. Pollux and Confetti get chipped tomorrow, per RJ saying it should happen and me agreeing with him.

For everyone who helped bring Castor home I give my thanks. The Brit and Jade helped us search into the night, Clone and his lady for helping put up signs, Alecya for running around after leads and showing signs, the shop owners and vets who let us post flyers, the wonderful lady who found him and her neighbors who helped wrangle him, my mother for catching him, and my boss for letting me leave work for 2 hours today so I could see him.

We're going to bed now. Castor wants to snuggle.
