With the vacation looming, and the second interview with the DM of the AE people, all there really is to do is wait. So yesterday, after doing my errands, dropping off the last of my petition papers to the university, and mailing off some money owed, I went downtown on my own.
Those of you who don't do a lot of solitary time by yourselves don't know how wonderful it is to go on outings without having to wonder if you're walking too fast for the people you are with, or waiting for them to finish gawking at something you're not particularly interested in, or settling for eating at a joint you're not fond of to make the group happy.
Picked up advance tickets to the Bruno that evening - which was hilarious, but not on par with the television material. Best part is surely a charity music video in the styles of live aid with some great musical additions.
Picked up the Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath's only written novel registered under her name. I have been well familiar with her poetry, but had never got around to actually reading the acclaimed book. I have to have something to block the sun out while on the beach :P
Before the movie, My mum and i went to grab a bite to eat at the pickel barrel at yorkdale. I was in a pasta mood, and when i saw the word meatballs i promptly salivated and ordered them. Half way through the movie, about an hour later, I began to curse my dining choice. To say it wasn't sitting well was an understand. I rushed home, was sick, and fell asleep to the melody of gravol settling my stomach.
Beware of the meatballs y'all. I am now distrustful of such a meat concoction served outside my own roof. I am also henceforth renaming said restaurant i stayed at the ' pukel barrel'
Been working on some new material. Problem is i've rewritten the thing like 5 times now. Now diction seems quite right yet. And this morning i contemplated starting a novel, then realized i was thinking in bed again, and it was a big enough adventure getting out of it, never mind the novel :P
