Sometimes I am so blessed, it leaves me completely speechless.
Those of you who read my fic know that
Madrigal was written in honor of the wedding of the lovely, generous and amazing
jenbachand. I was very surprised and delighted with the reception it received.
When all was said and done, I sent Jen & Steve a hard copy of the story with fancy titles, author's notes, a note from the wonderful beta on the story. The cover I had originally planned didn't work out and I was already almost two weeks past the wedding date, so I just ended up binding it with ribbons and wrapping it in cloth. It wasn't ideal, but seriously? There aren't a lot of binders that can be found that are suitable for housing a fanfic set sometime between the Dark Ages and the Renaissance.
I had spoken with
losingntrnslatn about the presentation and she offered to make a cover for me. I told her not to bother since Jen already had the story.
Guess what I got in the mail today?
Isn't it beautiful?
The picture of Sara and the mage made me squee and all the rest of it made me cry. Keith was with me when I opened it and he couldn't believe it either. Savannah just kept repeating, "That's SO cool! That's SO cool!"
Jenn, I don't know what to say. I wish I did. I wish there were words available to me to truly express how touched, how overwhelmed, how completely FUCKING impressed I am. I am completely, totally, insanely overwhelmed. Thank you, thank you, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Holy crap, I know the best people who are FAR too good to me.
