I was going to do it but I'd already signed up for cmrossiprentiss Rossi/Prentiss Wedding Fest and scullyseviltwin Songwriting Ficathon (which, thankfully, has no deadline) And I had already verbally committed to misscam to participate in girlsavesboyfic and innerslytherin to participate in Criminal Minds Fic Exchange. And those closest to me decided that they would have to shoot me to put me out of my misery if I signed up for one more thing (of course that's smacky30 and losingntrnslatn and I suspect they are looking for an excuse to shoot me anyway).
I urge everyone to bid if they can or offer if they're able...I sincerely wish I could, but I just can't. Since I can't offer, I have decided for everyone on my friend's list that participates in the girlsavesboyfic ficathon I will donate $5 to help_pakistan in addition to any auctions I am fortunate enough to win.
You know, I don't often let people IRL know I write fanfic and the people that do know tease me fairly mercilessly about it. But I am proud of being a part of a community of people that can use their words to make a difference, whether it's by reminding us women are kickass and every bit as capable of saving the world as men or by offering their words for donations to help people in times of need. It's an amazing thing we have here and I am proud and blessed to be a part of it.
