20 years ago: I was nine, almost ten... hmmm, I was in fourth grade and in the class of one of the most influencial people in my life.
15 years ago: I was 16 and probably staying way too late in the auditorium at school, mucking about with David Gerle and Toni Helman.
10 years ago: I was 19 and sat next to this crazy person ranting about how Bono was a cunt in my piano class. We marveled at why a professor would admitt to starring at her 'grapes' so readily.
5 years ago: I was 24 and happily finishing a first degree.
2 years ago: I was 27 and in Japan trying to lose my mind.
1 year ago: Teaching little rat-finks I loved dearly and trying to keep Rhapsody 2122 from losing her mind.
So far this year: Trying to keep everyone, including me, from losing their minds and planning conferences. Spent a good deal of time with a very strange individual who makes me stupidly, retardedly, and infinitely happy.
Yesterday: Vented anger in a fashion that only two people in North America are capable of understanding. Celebrated as every last ALT actually turned in their forms by the deadline!!! Went home and cleaned with that same strange individual.
Today: Came to work and discussed socio-political bollocks with my co-workers and collectively wondered why people are losing their minds. Ate starch noodles and kowai brand macha latte, which makes me happy.
Tomorrow: Will drink coffee, get angry (because that apparently seems to be my current mindset), make dumb comments at magneticpigeon to lessen the deire to commit acts of vengence (what was I said to Deb the other day... oh, yes..."God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to not wrap my hands around their scawny, little necks...), finish writing all the forms for this lovely conference, celebrate anoif_away as it is her birthday, and possibly collapse.
