Odd. A week and a half or so ago, I took an epée hit to my left thigh. Nothing odd about that but, given I don't generally bruise easily and even if I do, it doesn't usually show up much because of my skin tone, it was quite a surprise to note that there's still a big black/yellow blotch on my thigh. Must have been one Hell of a hit...
