Sing Sing
Today my Ethics teacher used Sing Sing in one of the tripped-out-very-far-fetched examples he makes up to explain complicated theories to the class. Overcome with a surprising sensation of pride, I went up to him after class and told him that I lived in the town that Sing Sing is in and just thought it was cool to be mentioned. His reply was something I didn't expect. He said that one of his favorite, most prolific rhymes was by the Wu Tang Clan. In their song, they featured a reference to Sing Sing: "I sing a song from sing-sing, sippin' on ginseng." He, feeling that it was very clever actually recited it for me. It was truely awesome.
