Have any of you seen Penny Dreadful or Sense8?
Both have nice storytelling and engaging characters, altough Sense8 started out rather slow. The cast for Penny Dreadful has some very familiar faces. The characters for Sense8 are from all over the world.
One of the reasons I'm telling you about both shows is: sex. Sex sells.
Know that joke about reading Playboy for the articles? Don't worry. Both shows are very good and fun to watch even if you edited out the sex scenes. Trust me.
Penny Dreadful mixes different staple horror stories like vampires, werewolfes, Dorian Grey, Frankenstein, etc. Connecting all is the character of Vanessa that keeps trying to avoid being possessed by the devil. In the meantime, you have some very intense scenes. One of my fave was a kiss between two male characters that came out of nowhere in season1. Hell, yes! Go for it! And now in season 2 they have a (?) woman in a man's body Angelique which makes a pretty twink in a rather visual obvious sex scene. A rather daring explicit scene, especially considering it's between two men.
If you wanna check the goodies move past 10:00m.
And yes, that is Rose from Dr. Who right there at the end and did I mention she shows all the goodies?
Another actress from Dr. Who is the one who played Martha Jones, this time in Sense8. Guess what? She shows the goodies as well.
Sense8 has a slow build up in my opinion. Unavoidable due to its chore of 10 main characters. But now is in full swing and a fun ride it is.
There's a woman originally born as a man with a loving girlfriend and they have a couple sex scenes. The very first one involved a strap on... And they showed the strap on falling to the floor sprinkling it with... (?) body fluids? My face was just :O
There's a gay couple and again, they kiss and are very loving and get naked.
In fact there are so many sex scenes for Sense8 that sorry but I'm not gonna bother showing any of them.
Oh, and male full frontal nudity. Yep, not only you get men's nice asses but you also get to see at least one guy's dick.
I do want to show another reason to see it. It can be very fun.
Lito - The guy in his underwear is a south american actor, hiding that he's gay and upset because his friend Dani has returned to her abusive ex-boyfriend.
Wolf - The guy being pointed a gun at is a german mafia dude. (he's the one full frontal by the way)
In Sense8 they can send their mind into one of the other 8 and it makes for very nice scenes. In this one, Lito helps Wolf and that makes him gain courage to rescue Dani and this time it's Wolf helping him. Watch past 03:00m and tell me that's not funny. I laughed out loud at that one.
