If I wrote for Marvel comics

Because I am far too lazy to write this all up as fanfic, so it's just a summary, really.

Two separate plots over two separate X-Men comics.

Sam Guthrie is reading the paper when he finds a reference to a winged mutant seen flying over London. A winged mutant with auburn hair and wings, just like his deceased brother. His initial plan is just to check it out, assuming it's a new mutant who coincidentally looks like Jay, but before he can leave Paige finds him. She's seen a different report, with a better photo, and she's not the only one. Rockslide, Mercury and Dust have seen it too, and insist they'll go alone if the Guthrie's don't help them.

At the same time an unnamed bureaucrat who stamps visas comes across Kurt Wagner's. His long death and recent resurrection means the paperwork makes no sense, so the bureaucrat refuses the visa. When the x-men appeal, it draws the attention of the higher-ups to the visa issue. How many x-men could they get rid of if they just revoked their visas? Quite a lot.

Chamber is furious, and rants to his students about being deported from a country that killed his friends, brainwashed him into being their own assassin, and even sent him to a mutant concentration camp. Their confusion surprises him; they've never heard of Neverland, despite the fact the x-men have been aware of it for years. Dark Beast even used the data from the experiments performed on the mutant inhabitants to try and reverse Decimation. Chamber decides if he's going to be kicked out of America, he's going to make sure the world knows precisely what kind of country it is that's doing the kicking.

The Guthrie's and the young x-men explore London, looking for signs of Jay. Eventually they find him, but he has no idea who they are or who he is. This worries Paige, and the possibility he's a clone occurs to her. Sinister observes them from the shadows. After some argument, the x-men take him to the rooms eXcalibre is loaning them, and agree to let the british agents check him out.

Jay freaks out during the medical exam and flees, the others following him. He leads them back to Sinister's lab. A gas creeps around the room, knocking everyone out except Rockslide. Sinister steps from the shadows, and seems surprised to see a conscious victim. He uses his telepathy to knock him out.

The x-men argue over whether to reveal Neverland to the outside world. Storm feels it would jeopardise their attempts to restore their staffs' visas, while Wolverine points out people have tried to alert the world before and been 'silenced'. Kurt takes Jono's side, though, and suggests getting Peter Parker in to take photos. The more people know the harder it'll be to silence them (and no one has ever figured out how to silence J Jonah Jameson!), and if they take advantage of their relatively friendly relationship with the Avengers they could get Captain America to comment. Eventually, Jono points out he's going to do this regardless; he was just doing the x-men the courtesy of a warning. He's too powerful to be easily stopped, not unless they want to rebuild most of the school.

Beast joins them, since he worked with Dark Beast post-M-Day there, and knows the computer system. All of the computers have been destroyed, but Jono has a hunch no one will have bothered dig up the bodies. It's gruelling and depressing, especially since much of the earth is frozen, but slowly they uncover the death pits. Parker records the whole ordeal. The Avengers arrive before they can finish; at first the x-men greet them amicably, assuming they're there to help, but it emerges the US government has called them in to prevent the x-men exhuming Neverland. A battle ensues, but comes to an abrupt halt when Captain America sees the pits and flashes back to Nazi Germany. The Avengers agree to help break the news.

The X-men in London wake up in Hyde Park, with no memory of how they got there. Jay's memories have been completely restored. Around them people are reading papers about the concentration camp in America. Though not everyone is pro-mutant, everyone agrees Neverland was going far too far. The current US government is blaming the previous administrations and claims to know nothing.

The British Government are in private talks. The previous cabinet knew about Neverland, and it's only a matter of time before someone reveals that the government sent British mutant criminals there, with the excuse they didn't have prisons that could hold them. It's not an excuse that'll hold water. They need to do something positive now. Like start a government funded team of mutants, one aid suggests.

Jay doesn't want to leave the UK. He doesn't know why, precisely, but he really doesn't want to go. His family are upset and confused. The UK offers them visas to all live together in the UK, but Ma Guthrie turns it down. So the government offer Jay a place on the new team their building, along with UK citizens Pixie and Chamber, and long term eXcalbre member Nightcrawler. Ma Guthrie refuses, at first, but Paige suggests she stay too - Imperial College London have offered her a scholarship for an engineering degree (after pressue from the government) and she could keep an eye on her brother. She still suspects there's something weird going on - she thinks Jay is a clone, and the only explanation for Rockslide passing out would be a powerful telepath. A powerful telepath with a history of genetic manipulations? Sounds a lot like... ooh, shiny.

Sinister steps back into the shadows. He'd prefer Jay was reinserted with the main x-men team, but this isn't a bad start. Jay was a good person to start this new program with - his healing power made him a lot more stable than the other clones Sinister tried.

And thus we have a new team in the UK, with an ongoing villain. With some Paige/Kurt shipping to occur (she always liked the ones who can't pass for human), some long distance Jay/Sooraya, and then maybe gambit could join and he and jono could hook up because that would be hot? :P
