I'm pretty certain I'm going to flunk out of cleaning before I reach desk or shelves (or hoovering, probably), but after four bags of paper to recycle and one of rubbish, and three loads of washing, I think I've done alright. I have several more days before I'm back at work, so hopefully I'll tackle the furniture before then.

Actually, hoovering will get done, because I need to do my mattress (I have a tendency to walk across my bed in my shoes, it being a futon and me being a bit lazy) and there's no point putting clean sheets on it otherwise. And I really have to do that now, because by the time I go to bed tonight I suspect I will be quite drunk.

Also, I have cramp and haven't eaten properly (I'm trying to finish all the cake and chocolate so there's no temptation starting tomorrow), and wanna sulk. This is not conducive to tidying.

I've set up the direct debits to the charities I decided to donate to, so I feel accomplished anyway. I also researched Salzburg, and suspect my idea I could do it for less than £250 was a bit pie-in-the-sky. Well, the way I was thinking, anyway. If I travel down to London to take an easyjet flight, and if I stay in a hostel, and if I go midweek, it's manageable, but I suspect I'll be going alone if that's the case! The advice about the salt mines was to book them as part of a package, but most packages book with decent airlines, who are charging about £250 each way, and expect me to stay in 4* hotels, which charge about £70 a night. Not good for budgeting. If I want to do this in Febuary I really ought to book soon, too - I've got to do it before March because I lose the holiday time when the tax year rolls over.

Again, anyone wanna come to Salzburg? On a really cheap flight, and staying in a Youth Hostel?
