oi, min? you know, i had this thought, and was wondering if you'd ever done a "top five song covers" because if you haven't, that could be very interesting. (i maybe love covers, a lot. *grin*)

in the meantime, i've been pondering the current top five, and i've decided that i have no idea. i'm fairly certain that good porch sitting music should be fairly lazy, possibly country influenced, and generally be something that you can sing along to. (really, there's not much better than sprawling on the porch, shoes off, soaking in the heat and singing. especially if you throw in some spiked tea.)

so.

1. "American Pie", Don McLean
2. "Comes A Time", Neil Young
3. "Boondocks", Little Big Town oh god, i am so ashamed of this song. so ashamed. but the sad truth is that the more i've had to drink, the more likely i am to sing it at the top of my lungs.
4. "Black Velvet", Alannah Myles
5. "Pinch Me", Barenaked Ladies

also, a world of WORD to the house rules and dock of the bay. a whole world of word. and um. six would be something by dire straits, probably romeo and juliet. so.

i thought we'd done "top five cover songs" and i was right, we HAD, but it was MORE THAN TWO YEARS AGO. i think that calls for a recycling of topics, don't you?

sweet tea + amaretto = best summer drink ever. ♥

dude. min, you are an internet institution. i am impressed.

okay. so. i'm going to the post office in about an hour here, and i need to know which cookies i should be mailing to you. chocolate with chocolate, chocolate with chocolate and cinnamon, chocolate with chocolate and mint, or a combination of all of the above? [i abandon being subtle in favor of getting you cookies you'll like. priorities, you know.]

sometimes i get frustrated and bored with the top five list and that's when i take a hiatus like i'm going to this month, but i never ever want to stop posting them altogether.

oh yay cookies! um, chocolate with chocolate and chocolate with mint? i am not a big cinnamon fan, but chocolate + mint = FAVORITE CHOCOLATE EVER. also? you're my favorite bunny ever.

okay then, i'll do one more batch of the chocolate and mint ones, and that's good. *pleased* and now i am all pink and blushing, and eee. *nuzzles* you are my most favorite min-kitten, and one of my most favorite peoples. which is possibly why you're getting cookies. *grin*

so, today i'm eating a lot of cookies and drinking an absurd amount of dr pepper, and i'm probably not sleeping. this should be interesting...
