1. drive past the biggest feed lot in Texas (twice) - It's like having cow anuses stuffed up your nose.

2. play the contrabassoon - I'm actually physically too small to do it. Pain pain pain.

3. hike at Pisgah at any time during the summer - Is it possible to die from mosquito bites? 'Cause if I try that hike again, I might.

4. spend the night at the airport - less fun than it sounds

i once slept on the floor at charles de gaulle in paris. talk about not fun.

For me it was in St. Louis, coming home from Carleton after my freshman year. I missed my connection because of weather, and didn't have money for a hotel, even with the discount they wanted to give me. So they gave me a toothbrush and blanket, and I camped at the airport. Major suck.

I have a certain fondness for St. Louis, myself.

To cut our fare in half, we took a layover in St Louis on a long trip with a one year old Bear (Two hours on a plane, four hours at the gate, then four hours on another plane to get where we were going.)

You know the moving walkways at St Louis? I do. They captivated the boy and we went back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, for hours, giggling and tireless, endlessly amused.

Then he fell asleep on the plane. I couldn't have hoped for better.
