Do you have the fcuk clothing craze in America? Cause in a day that's particularly saturated with inventive designs and usages of the nonword 'fcuk', I often find myself thinking 'fuck' is misspelled.

that's because of the clothing label French Connection UK. in 2000 someone (who surely got a HUGE rise) hit on the fact that the intials looked like a misspelling of 'fuck' and subsequently they started making t-shirts saying things like 'too busy to fcuk' or 'too pretty to fcuk' and then in a stroke of further marketing genius, they put randy harrison from the US Queer As Folk in several FCUK shirts on the show, making FCUK a huge hit in the gay market in the US.

hi, i used to work in advertising in new york. :)

Oh, I know it stands for French Connection UK. I was just wondering if it had made it across the Atlantic - now I know it has, and in a really funny way.

HAH. am contemplating doing own state of fandom address now, except that it would look fucked and crazy. but huzzah for the third draft of the epic! that's v. exciting.

do you ever get to a point with a story where you're like, OMG JUST BE FINISHED ALREADY? because i love the epic, it's the best thing i've ever written, but i am so damn tired of looking at it. i have other things i want to write, and i can't, because it won't let me go!

*flail*

specifically, i have a good hefty remus-post-ootp story that's sitting my brain and can't get written until this thing is done. also, i miss lotrips.

i feel that way, uh, BASICALLY ALWAYS. i felt that way a little bit about the thing we posted last night, but hugely about the mauraders story i posted last month because i was SO DONE WITH THAT STORY OMG.

REMUS POST-OOTP AND LOTRIPS WRITE NOW PLS. KTHX

Last time I wrote anything of length, I was writing faster and faster to get the story out (mostly before I lost it), but then when I started to get to the end I was trying to slow down because I was so fond of my characters I didn't want to say goodbye to them.

Which is just sad. I know it. I'm just saying.

i am SO READY to be done with the epic and it keeps NOT BEING FINISHED.

but friday is the estimated time of arrival for final posting, so tea and physics gets top priority starting next week. yis.

I'm determined to win my office's march madness poll and was hoping you could give me some advice, or at least point me in the direction as to where to start my research.

well, espn.com's college basketball page is always a good start, but i'm planning to put together a "min's guide to picking winners" post for the monday before the tournament starts, right after the bids come out, if you want to wait and learn from my particularly insane brand of logic.

but me, i'm picking north carolina to win it all, and not just because i'm totally biased. :D
