That's 37 stories (crossovers only counted once) in 15 fandoms. I felt like the second half of this year was pretty much a wash for me, writing-wise, but apparently I wrote more than I thought. Hot damn.
My favorite story of this year:
The Town That Knew Me When (Harry & Jerry gen). I love this story so much. SO, SO MUCH. I love it because I love the movie, and I love the true story of the Texas Western team, and I love it because I wrote it for shep. knowing full well that she was one of three people who would read it, and she loved it as much as I did.
My best story this year:
Must Have Learned Them From A Million Stars (Sam + Daniel). Without a doubt -- this was one of those stories that came out exactly the way I meant it to, and there's not a wasted word.
Most fun story:
Steal The Thunder From The Sky (SG:A crossover, Sheppard/Mitchell). ... I got to wank about college basketball for 9500 words, of course this was the most fun story I wrote.
Most sexy story:
Don't Call What You're Wearing An Outfit (Tim/Tyra/Jason). THREESOME SMUT.
Story with the single sexiest moment:
Don't Call What You're Wearing An Outfit (Tim/Tyra/Jason). I SAY AGAIN: THREESOME SMUT.
"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
Will Dunk For Brains (ensemble gen). I don't know, I didn't write much that was particularly wrong this year. How odd. This did have basketball players eating brains, though.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
How You Do What You Do Is Who You Are (Matt/Danny, Matt/Harriet, Danny/OFC). This is a story that I didn't know I had in me until I wrote it; I didn't know I knew that much about Matt, and Danny, and their relationship, until I started putting it to paper.
Hardest story to write:
Look To The Heavens And Number The Stars (ensemble gen). That story kicked my ass. I must have re-written the Moebius section four or five times before I finished it, and I still don't feel like it's quite right.
Biggest Disappointment:
I Remember The Alamo (But I Don't Recall Who Won) (Ford gen). I don't know, I really love this story but I don't think it's very good. I owed Ford better than that.
Biggest Surprise:
I Want To Run Away And Join The Office (Bob/Patrick, Pete/Mikeyway). A surprise that I wrote bandslash at all.
Most unintentionally telling story:
The Towers On The Heights Reach To Heav'n's Own Blue (SG:A crossover, ensemble gen). Wow, let's look at my issues with new ACC and the idea of sports as a cultural touchstone ALL ON DISPLAY!
