(no subject)
Stuff has been good.
Uni is almost over \o/ and I'm sitting on a good mark in most subjects. I cant wait for it to finish. I got my exam timetable... all 4 in the first week. Im looking at going away for the 6 weeks off. Hopefully back to Jundee. It will give me enough cash for the second semester, plus ill need a fair bit for next year for when I move back to Kalgoorlie. If i nail this semester, that 2 semester in a row! Thats unprecedented for me
Footy is going good. In the first game, I copped a knock on my knee. In the second game, the knee was ok... but i re injured it. So anyway, they gave me the game off for the third game. Played Mt Helena on sunday, I was playing centre half back. I got a few touches, and im definately getting better. I did a huge spoil on probably their best player and got an award at the end of the game. (7th best on ground lol... thats right behind 6th! lawl)
And Justin, who i bought for 600, won 4th best on ground... which ean i win money! I dunno how much, but he better start paying off.
Our team is going quite well. We've got so much talent, but have been struggling to gel as a team. Definately getting better as the games are played. Weve won 2, and lost 2. Looking forward to playing gidge again... i reckon we'll have them next time!
Been to a few incidents with fire brigade. The most notable one was the where a truck drove into the sawyers valley general store. Wasnt serious, tho that was only because of luck. Had it happened at 3 in the arvo, it had potential to be a catastrophe. Our fire district manager came up the other day to test the competency of a few of us in the fire truck. We had to do emergency stops where we would just be driving along, and the guy would just yell STOP! and we'd have to pack on the brakes. Left black skids marks on a few roads. It was a really good learning experience. Its amazing how quickly a truck will lock up and how long it takes to stop. Anyway I did well, and now Im allowed to take the truck out whenever to drive it. In a few months, ill be allowed to drive under lights and sirens.
