He sat solemnly staring at the map. The compass pointed due East and he used his mapping utensils to follow the course. His fingers landed on a stretch of land that made his blood curdle. He closed his eyes trying to erase the images of the savages. But the memory lingered. Oh yes, he wanted to be king, but not their king.
He ran, screaming. He found a hut filled top to bottom with odd objects. He picked up a rope and a canister with the familiar triangle encircled by EIC. Bugger. The savages found him. He sprinkled his armpits with the red spice. “A little seasoning, eh?” He knew he had been caught.
He shook his head in disgust. “I'm going to bloody kill the man that invented paprika.”
