bad joke of the day and countdown

8! 8! EIGHT FREAKIN' DAYS!  That's just ONE WEEK and a SINGLE DAY!

Poor Sharon though, she's got to be on her billionth hour of travel by now.  She's not going to know which way is up by the time she gets to FanSee's.  Thankfully, that will be all taken care of by the time i get her!

I.AM.IN.LOVE.  Seriously.  Tostitos have two flavours of nacho chips out: Chipotle Pepper and Roasted Garlic and Black Bean.  They are marketing them with the word "Artisan" in the title, which makes them about a dollar more expensive than they're normal chips but dude....so worth it.  I really like the Chipotle but the garlic ones are the bomb.  I will also admit that since they were on sale last week, i may have bought like 4 bags of each flavour and have them stashed around the house.

Today was a day off for me and i didn't wake up until 12:36 this afternoon.  And i'm so not counting the 12 minutes that i was out of bed around 9ish to let the mutt out for a pee.  And for the record? He was sprawled out on the bed beside while i slept.  I could feel him breathing on me.

Is anyone else totally disgusted at the fact that Casey Anthony was found not guilty? I was going to post the first day the verdict came down but i was too mad.  A poor innocent child is dead and her murderer gets to move on with her life as though nothing happened.  Where the hell is the justice in that?!?!  Today is July 7 and here is today's useless Newfoundland information/trivia:

Before the Europeans came to Newfoundland, a tribe of Native people called the Beothuk inhabited the island. These people were hunters and gatherers.  In 1981, a archiological site was found in Boyd's Cove, Newfoundland.  Bones from harp seals, harbour seals, polar bears, beaver, caribou, sculpin, flounder, geese, cormorants, and many other animals suggested that good hunting and fishing were two of the reasons why the site was occupied Sadly, the Beothuk bloodlines ended with Shanawdithit, the last known Beothuk, died in St. John's in 1829.  Though many thought that the Beothuk were hunted by the Eurpeons in a mass genocide, it stands to reason that the real reasons of their extinction was introduced diseases from the new settlers and starvation, as many of the native settlements were denied access to usual fishing/hunting grounds.

see you tomorrow!
