bad joke of the day
So i had a short day at work today but it was an early start...after about 3 hours of sleep. I hate it when you know that you have to get up at a certain time and then you can NOT fall asleep. Anyway, my passport came today so i am all set for my roadtrip with Hanne in September. And i am on mom's computer so i can show you this:
This is my final cake for my cake class last night. I think that it turned out okay for my first cake like this. It is an 8 inch cake on a 12 inch cake board, covered in the same colour fondant as the cake. The frog was cut out in a ton of different pieces and then 'glued' back together. And on the cake board are some of the gum paste daisies (though in the case, they are water lilies). Okay, in other news, Tuesday night's episode of Deadliest Catch killed me. It was the fleets' reactions to learning of Phil's passing and each boat's way of dealing with that news. Let's just say that I was a total mess. My eyes were red, my nose was totally stuffed up and i woke up yesterday with a 'hangover' from crying so much. It was just that emotional. Today is July 29 and here is today's joke:
Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was
really pissed.
She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the
driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!"
The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke
up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box
gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought
the box back in the house.
She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Bob has been missing since Friday.
