So I'm back from my Alaskan voyage. It was GRRRRRRRREAT! Ahh. Spending over two weeks with my boyfriend slash amazing friend was so incredibly nice. Right now I'm really sad...i miss him. Being there for that long made me get used to having him around again. And now it's just POOF, he's gone. I can't even talk to him right now because he's in Seattle for a week. Some kind of training with goats...I chose not to ask any more questions.

Here's some stuff that happened....

*I went snowboarding. Not really a good experience either, haha. I went on the bunny slope twice, then I cried, so we left.
*We got stuck in snow on the side of different roads 3 times. Once it was in a VERY desolate area, but luckily AK has this rule you have to stop and help pull people out. Yay.
*Encounter with strange Mountain Man riding a snowmachine (they aren't called snowmobiles up there. that's a "dorky term to use").
*I NEVER SLIPPED OR FELL ON ICE OR SNOW.
*No freaking Moose sightings. BUT, I got to pet Blitzen, the reindeer. That's right. I went to North Pole, to Santa's house. Dancer was being rude and wouldn't come over, but Blitzen came right over...and then he started pooping...*pictures unavailable right now, will come with next entry...*
*Chena Hot Springs Resort: Basically it's a natural hot spring coming out of this mountain. So you go out in the snow with your swimsuit on....but the water was so hot i could barely stay in. I never thought I would end up sitting on a rock, in the snow, by a mountain, in Alaska.
*Way....too....much....of playing...Video games. Particularly Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Kingdom Hearts.
*Going to the grocery store 6 times. 4 of these times were when we had nothing to do.
*HEY JACKIE/MEGAN read this one: I cooked Aussie chicken (from the dinner thing senior year) and....I set off the fire alarm in the hotel. The fire department actually came to our room, and had to open all the windows. It was so embarassing...and I burnt the pan. But the chicken was DELISH
*Brandon locking the keys in the car....while it was running...
*Brandon leaving the keys in the door of the car....all night
*Brandon losing the keys to the car...
*The Northern Lights appeared once. ONCE in 2 and 1/2 weeks.
*Eskimo sightings
*Tons and tons of baby sightings. I learned that this was caused by the fact Fairbanks is really cold, and there is nothing to do. Hummm....
*Sneaking into the barracks for 4 days straight. WOO!

I need to correct myself in my last entry. I said it was the worst plane trip in history. NO, the RETURNING flight was A NIGHTMARE. It consisted of malfunctioning planes, an hour delay, getting lost in freaking seattle airport again, a canceled connection, getting rebooked, running around trying to find my luggage, GETTING SPECIAL SEARCHED TWICE, yelling at the people who special searched me (both times), making a flight by 5 minutes, and two hours upon arrival of trying to find my luggage. American Airlines blamed it on Delta, Delta blamed it on Alaska Airlines, and there was no Alasakan Airlines desk at DFW. okay so then....

THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE RETURNING STORY. I'm in my shuttle back to TCU, and the driver stated we had to pick up someone else to go to TCU while at the airport. So we drive around looking for them and I thought "Oooooh! That'd be so cool if it turned out to be somebody I know. Or not...what if it's someone crappy?! Ohhhh man if it were Carmen (my evil ex-roommate) that would be NUTS and HORRIBLE. Geez, that WOULD happen to me too..." So we stop, and the doors open. I look and...IT WAS HER. I had to ride back with her and endure FORTY MINUTES OF AWKWARD SILENCE. So I get back to TCU, put my stuff in my room and then I go check my mail. Who's in the mailroom, NEXT TO MY BOX!? Carmen. So I leave, go get food. Who's in the Main? Carmen. So I dawdle, then go to Frog Bytes. WHO'S IN FROG BYTES?! CARMEN! So then today, I had another sighting. It's so awkward when we make eye contact then both look away and get this "Oh, crap" look on our faces. THEN I SAW HER AT DINNER. This is crazy, because I saw her ONCE last semester. Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm sorry this is long and boring.
