Substance in an update
Had a very full and enjoyable day Saturday.
Puttered around for a bit, then hit the Rockabilly BBQ @ Pucketts. Good place to people-watch, though for some reason I don't find it terribly interaction-intensive, though I did get zapkitty a dress which frankly she looked SMOKING hot in.
Came back, and was just ZONKED. Crashed for a few hours, then wandered down to Salvadore Deli for a pretty alright Cuban. I really do dig the hell outta NoDa
More puttering around and off to Snug Harbor (Whew -- it HAD been a while!) -- and who wouldn't love a pirate themed bohemian bar? Caught Hellblinki Sextet, who, if you like Dark Cabaret (e.g. Dresdon Dolls, Jill Tracy, etc.) -- you'd LOVE these guys -- excellent music. Caught up with a LOT of people I haven't seen in what seems like forever and missed the hell out of, and even ended up befriending tafiri, which is odd as we've been running in same circles/blogs/friends -- even conversations for more years that most people have been clubbing :)
Left early-ish -- and pretty much played Plants Versus Zombies till 5-friggin' AM, after which I figured it MIGHT be a good idea to get some sleep!
Up and out of bed at 10AM and in and oddly good mood.
Had wanted to hit Taste of Charlotte today before it's over at 6, but time-wise balanced with that whole real life thing, I dont see, sadly, how that would be possible. So a little dissapointed at the early-ish leave last night and potentially missing the Charlotte thing -- but that's life and I'm cheerful...so bullox it.
