Past 2 days have been comprised of healthy eating and drinking (e.g. no alcohol), excessive working out, excessive amounts of WORK, and, well, going until I drop (which OMG I did last night

ya know -- I can't help but notice that ya haven't been posting PICS of some of those projects :-/ -- as the queen of texture, I hope ya do! (not that the two are related ...but it sounded good)
For option 2 -- it's DIRECTLY across the street from Pucketts -- just drive past the Ark++, at the end of the road, it is the shopping center directly in front of you, last store on the left
it's a little bit of me being lazy, and a little bit daunted by the sheer amount of work involved -- I want to show up on one island, chill for a day, a few specific things there (Kauai), then hop over to Oahu, get in a luau or two, stay at a REALLY nice place for a few days, then move to another one to free up $$ to spend on things to do rather than lodgings, etc etc. There's just a lot of logistics and overhead which -- well -- I have a "vision" of exactly what I want, but am afraid that I'll miss an aspect where someone there may have better info, since they do that for a living -- plus seeing the sites, they get awesome discounts and deals to leverage again, and make for me to be a braindead dolt (which I'm going for) and do all the thinking for me from the time I get on that plane, till the time I come home :)
Figure this is a one-shot deal, so am trying to do it right.
I dreamt about you last night. Not sure what the dream was about, but you came to the house with your girl and there was a party. Glad to see you are doing well.
You don't need a travel agency - just ask me anything! We did live there for two years, after all. Pick up the books I'm linking; it will be much cheaper and will almost certainly give you a better vacation than a travel agent could. They might be the best travel books ever written - the authors even tell you when things aren't worth doing, which is nice.
THAT is awesome! You were the first person I reached out to -- but on MySpace which is presumably not the best way.
Honestly, I'm daunted by the logistics of the whole thing -- fly to one island, than the next then change hotels, then change to a condo -- getting from point A to point B and so on!
On either island -- can you name and locations/tours that allow for waterfall swimming? What's the best way to get from Kauai to Oahu? Is one Luau better than any other Luau
Thank you SO MUCH for your feedback and thoughts thus far!!!!
dammit -- that Kauai B&B is already booked. *sniff*
Also -- is that Polynesian cultural center really worth it? Looked like it could either be a LOT of fun, or really a huge let-down. Saw pics of it from other people's adventures, and wasn't sure how well it'd jive.
Looking to stay at turtle bay for at least 3 days -- but no longer due to expenses, then hopefully north beach.
Yay travel! :)
How's DC treating you -- THAT is one *I* can help with if you ever need! Have you hit the Sackler-Freer gallery yet (my favorites by FAR)
Turtle Bay resort is fantastic, and you're really close to Shark's Cove, which is the best snorkeling/SCUBA on the island. Check it out if the surf isn't too high by then. Turtle Bay's the only hotel on the North Shore unless you end up in Laie near the Polynesian Cultural Center - which is pretty much populated by Mormons and has blue laws!!! Avoid, avoid, avoid. But if you end up in Laie on a circle island drive, I liked wading out to Goat Island, which is a really tiny island where the beaches are usually deserted. It'd make a good picnic
