Did I read this right? It took Ryuji three months to give Kousuke his birthday present???
I finally finished Magiranger today (barring Magi v. Deka, the movie, and the special). Thankfully, I was spoiled, so I didn't bust out crying into my pot pie at certain moments in Stage 48. I would also like to thank the cast for convincing TPTB to actually let them wear the suits just once. (g) However, I have a matter I have to address:
Dear Matsumoto Hiroya,
You are Japanese. While I know you love hip-hop, as shown by "Yellow Thunder", and I have seen you attempt thug poses in photo shoots, you are not Black. Cornrows do not work on you, as shown in the following evidence:
Since I have also seen you sporting those in photo shoots, I can only conclude that you decided on this hairstyle yourself. Please consult other people before changing your hair in the future, as you need the right hairstyle to fully maximize your hotness.

dragonsinger gave me "A". Because of my very first thought, I had to ask if romanized song names counted. She said that as far as she knew, it was OK, but she hadn't seen any anime fans do that - she stays far away from them (which, of course, is a lie (g)). So, here goes, after sorting Winamp's Media Library by title:
1. A Kimochi - Oshitari Yuushi (Kiuchi Hidenobu) (sighs over Kiuchi's dreamy singing voice, and this was the song that came to mind first - and, yes, if I had D or E, D Kimochi and E Kimochi would have been first instead (g))
2. Asterisk - ORANGE RANGE (the first Bleach opening theme)
3. Aozora - RUN&GUN (like this wouldn't make the list? (g))
4. Aesthetics and Identity - Ishida Uryuu (Sugiyama Noriaki) & Kurosaki Ichigo (Morita Masakazu) (holy crap, the live performance of this at Soul Sonic 2006... (melts from Morita's sex godliness when he sings))
5. All Along the Watchtower - Bear McCreary f. Bt4 (from "Crossroads Pt. 2" from BSG - if you've heard the Dylan original or the Hendrix cover, you still haven't heard this version)
Because I couldn't decide on just 5...
6. Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - take your pick between Monty Python (in Life of Brian) or the cast of Spamalot
7. Amazing Grace - Fuji Syuusuke (Kaida Yuki) (yes, the English song, from the all-English Fuji image song album)

9. Aqua Teen Hunger Force Theme - Schooly D (because you know you sing along too)
10. Akatuski - Takanashi Yasuharu (from Naruto Shippuuden - the BGM for the group of the same name, which seriously reminds me of John Williams's choral stuff for the Star Wars prequels, or some of Howard Shore's LotR music)
It was hard enough to weed it down that far, much less determine an order. :^( Interestingly, I would have liked to have listed some Alestorm stuff, but only the band has "A" in the name, and not any of their Scottish pirate metal songs (btw, dragonsinger, I just finished the Battleheart downloads, and there's 4 songs that aren't on Alestorm's full album as well. If Dragonhubby doesn't d/l them (or if he wants the full album), let me know.). I will admit that I'm now totally hooked on Alestorm - it's perfect music for pillaging and wenching. (g)
Finally, I need to get a good night's sleep, for tomorrow morning, I have an interview for a promotion at work. AFAIK, I'm the only one from my branch that's going for it (actually, I'm probably the only one of us lowest-level peons that has the time in service to go for it (g)), so I already know what's expected of the position, and what's it like at my branch. Plus, my supervisor and manager are well aware of how good a worker I am. (g) I'm not that nervous, possibly because this is actually the second time I've gone for this job. (g) (The first time, I was just in under the wire to qualify, and the person who got it far more deserved it than me at the time, and will be a hard pair of shoes to fill. Plus, I miss having her as my deskmate.) Either I get it, or I don't (although, if I don't, I really do want to know why, since I know how hard and well I work, especially considering that my annual evaluations overall are glowing - my sick leave is my only black spot, because I got sick easily in the past, but I've done much, much better in the last few years, and that even shows on my evaluations), but I'll do my best.
