The joys of having pets!
For those of you who may not know, I have a small Caryn Terrier whose name is Min. She's still a puppy so that's what saved her little butt today. This is how she spent her day apparently...
Don't ask me why but when I went to the grocery store this weekend I bought toilet paper and left it in the grocery bag in a chair near my kitchen. I had my hands full with other grocery bags and the chair was semi-close to the bathroom, thinking I'd take it in there later. Well, being a procrastinator this weekend I never took the paper to the bathroom...didn't need it just yet. HAHA.
I got up and went to work this morning, as usual, and Min was left in the middle of the living room floor with her favorite kind of treat. I came home this afternoon to find Min still in the middle of the floor but with all sorts of white paper around her. Seems she found the toilet paper. OH YEAH...SHE FOUND IT ALRIGHT! She scratched and pawed at the grocery bag until the had the 4 pack of Charmin out of the grocery bag. Then she proceeded to scratch and paw at the toilet paper plastic wrapping until she was able to scratch and attach the vicious toilet paper. Needless to say, she completely destroyed 3 of the 4 brand new rolls of TP.
I would like to note, for the record, that I did not yell or scream. I did not spank her nor put her in time out. I simply picked up the bits and pieces of what used to be 3 rolls of toilet paper, thank God they weren't the double rolls...sheesh, and then we proceeded to each have a small glass of milk. And to top it all off, the little 'angel' had the audacity to look at me as if to say....
WOW MOM, WHO MADE THAT MESS IN THE FLOOR???? or as Lisa put it...How was I supposed to know it wasn't my new toy in the bag?
Sooo, that's been my afternoon in a nutshell. Thank God the little cherub is now sleeping/napping before bedtime.
