The sounds of the universe.
So something that Joe put out in his regular LJ threw out a note of harmony with me.
Music. Notes. Primal Instinct. Series of tones layered to make a pleasing sound to the listener.
Music is a very interesting medium that I think a lot of people underestimate. I feel that music no matter what the type or Genre it is, is a very very powerful force. If music were not important, then why does spiritual "worship" usually always include some sort of music. Take christianity, or Muslim or judaisim and i'm sure any sort of worship service and you will have music. Is there something with a few notes placed in a sequence that our societal washed/controlled mind can't let go of? Is there some deeper and more powerful force that is behind music?
let me take it a step higher. NASA has found that there is sound in space. Our EARTH hums, Black Holes are known to produce the deepest bass notes known to man. Is there something in this that God has left for those of us to find? Howbout those of us who are attune to the world and the universe on a much more basic scale than trying to make a buck off some other humans suffering?
I myself have been blessed with the ability to hear music on a much deeper level, which is why right now i'm very very very very much appreciating Psy / GOA Trance. If I turned my Dad or another person of the generations before us onto PSY-Trance, i'm assuming that the response from them would be: "What is this shit you are listening to? It sounds like a bunch of BOOM BOOM and noise thrown in." " Dad", I would say " Put your bias aside and listen to what the music has to say. The bass lines that go boom boom boom are there for you as a guide. Listen to the bass at first, get the feeling for how the song or the music is and then let your mind concentrate on the complexity and the richness of the samples, loops or other tracks that are thrown in on top of the bass line. If you ever get lost in the music or you dont know where the music went, pay attention to the bass. Its your runway, your beacon, your guide rope to the plunge into your own head and into the great beyond. Its organized Chaos thrown into 12 min increments for our heads to enjoy. Once you get more experienced and more comfortable, I become the story teller. MY music will take people into the great beyond. MY music will be what folks go, AHHHHH.. so thats what the Fuck you were talking about LP.".
I think that a psy/goa fest is needed. I want to be able to get all juiced up with Uncle Cid and both of us sit down behind the decks for at least 4 hours throwing down some heart and soul pounding tracks. The richness of the bass that your not only hear, but FEEL. This is music. This is our existance, this is the key to our souls.
While one is sleeping or trying to rest during the comedown or in the wonderful day beyond the set, what is it that still echos in your head along with the ringing in your ear? boom booom boom boom....chik chick.. Boom boom..chick chick... waaaaahhhhhhhh.... twiddddle twiddle... fluttere... Squeeeeek...... Booom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom................
