You know what's sad? I took Russian for 4 years, and despite the fact that I can speak very little of it, I feel as though what I do know is going to waste. I was lying in bed yesterday morning, and I couldn't remember how to say "hello" for the life of me. That is horrendous, because everyday for atleast 2 of the 4 years I took Russian, I would burst into the classroom and loudy exclaim "Здравствулте!!" There are just some words you should never forget, and "hello" is one of them. I could, however, remember how to say "goodbye", "very beautiful", "grandfather", "grandmother", "friend", "see-ya", "quiet", Moscow, Red Square, and most importantly, "stupid". I probably know alot more, but I haven't looked at a Russian textbook in over a year now. Who woulda thought that I'd actually give a damn now, when I didn't even want to take the class in the first place?
