Last week I completed days 17 and 18, and today is day 19 (although I haven't worked yet)! Time really is flying, and i'll be done very soon.
Day 17 (Oct. 29th), wasn't really the best day. Frank was on the phone with his ex-wife having some family issue when I arrived, so I started working on elevations on my own. When he got off the phone, he came to check on me and said I was doing good. He then had me practice my lettering (its getting better, but still isn't great). I also listened in on a phone conversation Frank had with an upset client. A piece of furniture that was apparently ordered back in July, was never ordered. Customer is not amused... Frank is stressed. By the end of the day, he looked like he wanted to cry :( (poor Frank). He says bad days help you appreciate the good ones... I'll keep the in mind. I worked from 12:30 - 6:00.
Day 18 started as soon as I left work. We made a stop to Debbie Greenburg's beautiful house. This was my first time seeing Frank's work in person, and I was really impressed. It seems that pictures often fail to convey the full beauty and atmosphere of a space. Anyway, we went to Debbie's house to see how all of the fabrics would look in the space. When we left, we headed to Shofer's and were surprised with a presentation made by a faux finisher. The remainder of the day was spent on elevations. I worked from 11:30 - 6:00.
