it'll be the perfect ending to a perfect day

Never underestimate the power of a man in a chicken suit.

He saved me and Rukia from bikers earlier today. We were~ going to go get Christmas decorations 'cause the extent I'd decorated for Christmas was cutting out a paper snowflake and pasting it to the door of the apartment, and Rukia needed some too. But we got lost and the bus fucking left us even after I we ran after it screaming.

Then this biker dude showed up and tried hitting on Rukia but before I could do anything about it she beat him up.

Then his biker friends came. They were about 190 centimeters each of total~ delinquency but I just knew I could convince them out of trying to kill us. 'Cause I used to have a little street cred in Tokyo.

I should've known by the looks on their faces that street cred in Tokyo mean nothing~ to them. The biker dudes grabbed both of us and we were certain~ death was upon us when the guy in the chicken suit... clucked by and rescued us. I kid you not. He scared the hell out of the biker kids just by flapping his wings a little. Fucking insane.

We thanked him profusely and finally~ found our way to the decoration store.

Which was now closed.

Rukia and I kind of stared miserably at each other for a couple minutes, then we went back home in utter defeat. I dunno if it's worth risking a repeat of today trying to find the store again; if not, I'm going to just cut out more snowflakes for the door. Christmas spirit, here we come.

Um. At any rate. Have not been paying attention to what's going on around here so much, although, judging from what's going on inside everybody's heads, I probably~ should. No. Definitely should. Even if I can't really do anything about it.

Mom's visit went okay, surprisingly. We were on the border of civil except for that shouting match towards the end. >D But despite all that I think she liked you okay, Ren. She smiled at you once-- trust me, you're on her good list. Or okay list. I don't think she has a good list~

But anyway, Mom's gotten married. I know. The hell. It takes eighteen years for me to finally get a fatherly influence in my life. He's some bigshot lawyer. I don't exactly care. The only thing I'm worried about is ending up with a demonspawn of a half-sibling out of the deal.

Especially considering my mom's only 35.

I'm gonna hope she went into menopause or something early, eh~?

Edit: Oh, and tomorrow I'm supposed to be in the background of this laundry commercial Misa's doing. And we'll go shopping and get some ice-cream and stuff. :)

rukia, chicken man, almost christmas, mommie dearest, i hate huge bikers
