So...I'm a college graduate...that's intense. I graduated on Sunday. The ceremony went very well, though it was long. Chris Matthews was actually a decent speaker, he was pretty funny, but did have a good message along with his speech...even though it was like an hour long. Afterwards Christina and my families went out to eat, which was a lot of fun. Then for the rest of the day I was trying to put my college stuff into my room and sort out what I needed and did not need.

On Monday, I was called in to substitute teach, 1st graders. Oh my, those children are a handful. I'm glad that I'm certified to teach Middle and High Schoolers. These kids were nice, don't get me wrong, it's just they need absolutely EVERYTHING all the time. "Tie my shoe, He/She hit me, etc." Then when they're complaining about someone, they turn away from you to talk to the other person..I literally had to turn them around a few times to be like, tell me! But hey, that at least went well. I ended up also subing half a day yesterday at the middle school I went to and will be subing there all day tomorrow.

It actually was good to be up with kids that I could teach (the age group) because it gave me practice with them. Surprisingly they actually listened to me and though I was a dick, I figure I have to be for awhile so that they know they can't take advantage of me. I'm on the low end of the totem pole right now and don't get respect, so I need to just be hard nosed and such. Basically, in the words of "good ol'" Dr. O'Connor no smiling at all. So that's what I'm going by and it seems to work well. Anyway that's been my week. Most college students are off relaxing, and here I am making money...but hey, that's what I have to do now until I get something full time from teaching.
