Despite a torturous week, this weekend managed to redeem the week for me. It seems my social life happens in spurts. A lot has happened this weekend. Fri night, a friend celebrated his 28th with a Russian Hill Pub Crawl with quite an agressive schedule of inebriation. He had the novel idea to arrange in advance drink specials with the bar managers at each bar we hit up. Each hour was a chance to take advantage of cheap alcohol at a different drinking establishment. The candy necklaces were a good idea.
Early Saturday morning was pure recovery in more ways than one. Physically and mentally. The early morning phone call @ 8am, although a band-aid, literally saved me. It was tough and painful, but I hope I'm more mentally prepared now. It's a sad thing when the best things are simultaneously tragic. Later on in the afternoon, the bbq allowed my liver to become reacquainted with more alcohol beverages, this time involving grey goose, blueberry marguitas, and remy. Can never complain about the great abundance of food and fine liquor. The consumption of alcohol this weekend was more than I've had combined from many months.
Sunday was spent unwinding and bumming around online procrastinating from work. I decided to road bike to the Oracle office - 20min flat, including some nice views of the lagoon. I'll have to start commuting via bike sometime this week.
