Hey all, thanks for a couple people that said hi to me on my first post in slightly more than a decade. When Musk took over Twitter a couple months ago I toyed with dusting off my LiveJournal. I've since started posting more on Mastodon. Add me: @skepticsbookoflists@c.im
What is new? Well, I wrote a book during covid. I'm old now and my body is programmed to rise at the crack of 5:30 am. Believe you me during the shut down there wasn't a lot to do. So I reached into a long simmering idea to write a skeptic's version of the venerable Book of Lists. Took me a year but I self published it on Amazon back in October 2021.

What has transpired since 2010? Actually, I really stopped posting around 2008, shortly after I returned from Korea.
Went back to my career as a technical writer. Worked for a company that would send me to London and Paris from time to time to do trade shows. That was neat. The owner was a bit of a monster and I jumped ship after 5 years when the CEO of a former company started a new company and offered me a job. I've been with that company for 9 years. It's 100% work from home still and I love every single day.
Five years ago I finally met a woman who would marry me and I got married. Took me 50 years to find her but find her I did. She came as a 2 for 1 deal with a 2 year old daughter. So we're a cool blended family. Me, my wife, my step daughter, and two black cats.
I live out in Burlington these days. It's a sub-suburb of Toronto. My wife works in HR and keeps herself sane by playing bass guitar in an all woman punk band called The A Cup. She shreds man. My wife and daughter roll out of bed amazingly talented (singing, music, dancing, art, painting, drawing). I'm kind of the dumb one now.
