(no subject)
well, I aced both the practical and written on my midterm so now I can start doing the community events. I am trying to hold out for another opening at the ballet as it is supposed to have an inviting ambiance which would be greatly appreciated for my fist time giving massage to total strangers. I feel awful that three people in my class didn't pass and have to get tutored and show proficiency before they can move ahead. They may have to retake the test, I'm not sure.
On a side note, I received an email from a friend that made me realize how much time I have "wasted" on books about facts, science, and psychology. I shouldn't say "wasted" because I really get off on the books I choose, but my buddy was talking about Osiris and Isis, Theseus... the Minotaur... stuff that I can just get lost in as if I were in the story somehow. "Why would something like Isis searching all over Egypt for her husband's casket, and later doing the same to find all of his body parts but one so to breathe life into Osiris resulting in the birth of their son, Horus be so interesting?" my lifeless and logical brain would ask my starving creative side. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU, THE MUSIC IS TOO LOUD! ISN'T THIS A GREAT SONG?" The creative and life-loving side retorts as she dances in the nude and splattered paint. I used to love Greek Mythology, and Egyptian Mythology is so interesting... Hopefully I will make time...
