It's a little before 11am Saturday. Just got back from having a free espresso at my
local little bit of heaven cafe. Avalon puts on
a little strings [cello, violin, viola] concert with kids from her school, sandwiched by punk
rock performances, face painting, free mohawks [beer?] and, of course, free caffeine. mmmmm ...
Finished a wave of course work this Monday, followed by a small island getaway with Ottillia ... beautiful oceanfront cabin, hummingbirds, starfish, seals, hammocks, hottubs etc... Lovely! First lake swim of the year with Avalon and her friend [creeping ever-closer to the pissy teenager stage]. Numbing cold water. It was great!
The next wave of works starts on Monday ---a french reading/writing class. The fulfillment of my program language requirement could not be better timed. Six weeks of intensive French [albeit academic], followed by joyous Joyce, wandering the labyrinths of Ulysses [I hear you are well-versed kelly jones], and then it's off to France for a whirlwind tour. Exciting times!
