Yesterday, I reupholstered my sofa. Several months ago, I found some beautiful 'cafe au lait' colored 'canvas' upholstery fabric on a close-out table, it was an entire bolt marked down to $1.00 per yard! I wasn't sure how much I would actually need, so I bought the entire bolt (20 yards). The fabric sat in a closet for a while because the thought of even starting such a project seemed daunting. However, it was actually much easier than I expected, although it did take me about 10 hours to complete the project.
There was a time in my life when I could purchase whatever I wanted without a second thought and I would have just gone out and had a new sofa delivered. Sometimes, I wish I were in that place again, but not today.
