Yesterday and the day before we sat in Sinéad's living room and watched Fruits Basket anime all day, so today we thought going out might be a good idea, and went to Underage Festival.
It was nice, although slightly terrifying being surrounded by thousands of teenage indie kids. My new hair enables me to blend in a little though.
Sinead turned up in the least indie clothes she had.
But the weather was warm and the music pretty good. My younger cousin even turned up to watch my brother play.
Holly and I were confused by the people in the tent that we didn't recognise who were singing all the words to all the songs.
They do have other fans!
We didn't see many people, really. Sat and read Wuthering Heights while listening to Cajun Dance Party, got in the middle of the indie-pit to see the
Mystery Jets (one of the guys from the band has perfect Hatsuharu hair. okay, i know i've been watching too much furuba lately, but..).
After, we headed to the other stage to get there in a good place for Patrick Wolf's set.
So good.
I gave holly my camera as she was in front.
She wouldn't stop taking pictures of the guy.
Mind you,
he's very sparkly.
I've managed to sort out my work experience - properly! I have a set time to be there and a dress code and all sorts. So, if all goes to plan then I'm spending the next two weeks following a consultant endocrinologist at King's College Hospital.
It's all a bit scary and real, though. Is this my future here?
1. Find out what Endocrinology is.
2. Buy suitable clothes (you only have ripped things and jeans which have rips)
3. While at it, buy clothes for the gym. You can't keep going to the gym in clothes from last time you did work experience.
4. Draw out a map of the hospital showing the right entrance for the endocrinology ward.
5. Buy more printer ink so you don't have to keep drawing maps.
6. Stop thinking about next thursday.
7. Buy shoelaces. String not acceptable in hospitals.
8. Order those books on medicine and doctoring from amazon.
9. Buy SA and IAMX gig tickets.
10. Get a job to pay for all the things in 1-9. And work out which EMA forms to fill in and do that too. More money please.
Everyone's out and the neighbours are all away, so i can sing Patrick Wolf at the top of my voice and only the local cats will howl.
