A numbered list, why not?
1) Oh, HI! I've been around here and there, but not really here, if you know what I mean. I've missed you all!!
2) So, my fall writing/fest schedule went like this: computer crashed in the middle of writing long, plotty rs_games fic, no way I could recreate the plot lines without my notes, so I had to trash that fic and I wrote something with absolutely no plot (that was probably better than the long, plotty thing); that put me about two weeks behind in everything else, but I got my laptop back and was going strong for my shaggydog_swap fic to be basically on time, when a family emergency forced me to travel unexpectedly and interfered with important fic writing tasks like hd_holidays and Kinky Kristmas. I also had to travel for work a bit more than usual. My fics this year were all written in hospitals, doctors' offices, airports, airplanes, very late at night or some combination of the above. They may not all be my best, but I finished them all! And, in fact, none of them would have been finished at all without the help of gryffindorj. ♥
3) The mods of the above fests are all WONDERFUL and were supportive and patient. THANK YOU! My co-mods at rs_small_gifts are FABULOUS and I love you. Those are the fests I'm following this year. I'll hopefully have some recs soon. In fact, I'll post recs of my wonderful gifts at Kinky Kristmas and hd_holidays tomorrow. :)
4) Yesterday at the drug store, I was picking up prints of photos and the odd man behind the counter was awkwardly flirting with me. He asked me for my phone number to look up my order, and when I gave it, he said, "That sounds just like my next girlfriend's phone number." I'm not kidding. He actually said that. I think I blinked at him and tilted my head quizzically.
