So here's the deal: There is an absolutely beautiful hiking path that goes COMPLETELY unnoticed and I believe that we as a community are completely abusing it by not taking advantage of its presence!
It's in Deep Cove, so it'll be a bit of a trek to even get there (especially for those of you in Vancouver), but trust me, it'll be well worth it.
The actual hike takes about an hour and a half to get to the top (a gorgeous cliff side with a view looking out over all of The Cove), and then another hour or so to get down, but do not worry! The entire trip is littered with beautiful flora and fauna, so you can bet your sweet bippy that it will be a full three hours in Eden! And when we DO get to the top, we'll be having a great potluck picnic!
Come out out. Get some fresh air and live! It's good for the soul, good for the body, and absolutely good for the mind as well! Why spend one of these gorgeous days indoors when you can be spending it outside in the woods with the wildlife?
Necessities include:
-A light backpack
-A fairly large water bottle...it's a long hike!
-Snacks for the hike! (granola bars, fruit, and veggies are top tier choices)
-A little something to throw into the potluck picnic, anything yummy is good!
-A CAMERA!
-Music!
-Blankets!
-A hat!
-A good spirit and a positive attitude
-Fun!
