[ It happened too fast. It happened so fast that Jade didn't realize it had happened at all until it was way too late. There hadn't been any sound. Not a yell or a scream. Nothing. Just an awful sound of a body hitting the ground. Jade had whirled around, not sure what she expected to see after hearing such a sound, and found an image that would haunt her forever.

Her mind put the pieces together in a split second and her gun slipped from her suddenly numb hands. She didn't hear it fall nor did she even notice Jack. Not right now. ]
