Even if said book is called Wo ist Karlchen? (Where's Charly?) and tells the not so surprising adventures of a little rabbit who is told to pick carrots for grandmother's carrot-cake, but chooses to nibble them all and hide very badly while doing so.
The two-year-old is floating with joy. We read the book nearly nonstop, he never parts with it and is sleeping on it right now. the only minor complaint is the lack of cockroaches and silverfishes in the story. (What? He likes to look at the field guide on native animals. What did you think???)
