Posting hasn't been my strong suite lately but I have honestly been pretty busy. Some of you, hopefully most of you, know that I have quit my job at "The Salt Mine" and this coming Friday is my final day here! Needless to say I am both excited about getting out of here and loathing the amount of paperwork I have to get updated before I leave. Most of it is the necessary updating of inventory forms, payroll information, and making sure that all of my sales reports are compeleted by the time I leave on Friday. Luckily for me I've been pretty diligent about keeping things up to date so I just have the inventory numbers to take care of. Looking at what I have is probably a few hours of work. The best course of action is probably staying at work a little later today to get it all done so I needn't worry about it for the rest of the week. In any case I am looking forward to achieving escape velocity this Friday.
This weekend is one I am looking forward to. I haven't made many plans and I am hoping to keep it a fairly simple affair. Friday night I am having folks over for Exalted but it is the beginning of my "vacation" until I pickup working at the new job on the 12th. I'm excited for a number of reasons, not the least of which is not having to wake up at 4:30 a.m. anymore.
I ordered some new glasses. They are rimless and look pretty cool. In theory they should be here sometime this week. I wanted to make sure that I used up all the flex dollars I had stored away while working at The Salt Mine. The best part is that I actually got a few extra bucks out of it. Sometimes the IRS can be used in one's favor. My hope is that they'll be here by the end of the week, we'll see. Maybe if I'm feeling up to it I'll post a cruddy cellphone picture with the new glasses.
Now that I have provided proof that I am indeed alive I should probably get back to work. Time to crunch some more numbers. I hope all is well with all of you out there in the ether.
