Today in Italy is a national holiday (if you want to know more, wikipedia has an
english page for that). I went to the lab this morning to look after my cells (I've way too much Petri dishes these days), and now I'm at home. I'll probably go to have a nice walk later, hopefully with some shopping, then this evening we'd like to go to the cinema to see The Avengers.
On a side note, I started reading the Zetman manga, since I'm enjoying the anime so far. I was surprised, since the manga is quite good, more complex than the anime, and a little bit different from Katsura's usual topics. To tell you the truth, I still cannot understand how people find I''s a good love story. I wanted to strangle 90% of the characters...Video Girl Ai was better, but it's surely not on the list on my "most liked romance mangas". Zetman is way better, the love stories are intriguing and blend well in the "shonen" context. I like the vast majority of the characters too!
On the characters side, I'm starting to worry. In the latest stories I've read or watched, my favourite characters are evil ones or pretty much very bad anti-heroes. That's strange, since I generally always liked more plainly "good" characters. But hey, Tiger & Bunny's Yuri was pretty much love at first sight, and Zetman's Haitani has a strange charm that somehow attracts me. Even if he's pretty much one of the main villains (though in the latest volumes I suspect he is starting to become more like some kind of bad guy that starts an alliance with the good ones because they have a common enemy).
I suppose I changed my tastes? Who knows. But I'm wondering, maybe I'll try to buy the italian edition of the manga. It's worth the expense.
I also read Ruroni Kenshin the last month. It was really a nice discover. Too bad the italian edition of the manga is out of print.
