I want to use something more sophisticated than links to Youtube videos that include the song in question, but no one's online who I could bug about that, so that's what I'll use for now!

You may or may not have noticed that I really super duper like music. I listen to it constantly, every waking hour of the day! I also like a lot of different kinds, though I definitely have some favorite genres like alternative rock, pop, techno, etc. Anyway, last year I put together a top 5 fav music tracks from 2008, so I might as well do that again this year too!
Oh who am I kidding I've been preparing for this post all year long, on purpose. Nominations for the top 5 have come and gone, but here are the final, decided results. You'll be my super duper friend if you give all these songs a listen and tell me if you liked any of them or not. :3
Oh, and most of the images don't have anything to do with the song besides being a vague representation of my image the song gives me in my own mind. One of them is basically the exact single album image, but. Just the one.

"Please Come In" by Black Stone Cherry
I'll come out and say it; this is kinda memento_eden!Ginko's image song for this year. The lyrics are completely his. He's moving on, moving to brighter and better things. That guitar riff during the verses really gets me, man! Thanks to seleraleonhart for linking me this song when we were looking for GinkoxHibari playlist songs. ^3^

"America's Suitehearts" by Fall Out Boy
This song is so cute and bee-boppity and the chorus's leading tone just PULLS YOU INNNNN with the glorious and bright hopefullness of a youth in love. Yeah, that's what I said, you heard me. Anyway, weird 7AM poetry aside, it's a cute song that makes me imagine things that the lyrics probably have nothing to do with, like adorable RP OTPs and all the fun friends that my characters have come to meet and grow close to over the years. This one's for all my CR in all the games I've been in, memento_eden, srw_unlimited, netherworld_rpg, mayfield_rpg, quovadis_rp...

I've already made a post about this! I can't find it right now, though, so I'll spill all about what I said in it. The lyrics for this song are so, so romantic. Also, the unrelenting beat that KEEPS KEEPS KEEPS KEEPS SINGING YOU CAN'T MAKE US STOP I love it.
If we're both lonely

"Futuristic Imagination" School Food Punishment (Eden of the East ED)
This song had me from the first episode. The mysterious chords in the verse, you don't really know where they're going, and then it kicks in and it's like OOOOO...! And the rest of the bridge and chorus are just beautiful and keep you wanting more, wanting to know what comes next. I haven't really paid attention to the lyrics in this one, but I do love the singer's voice. Anyway, I listened to this song a lot before, during, and after my move out of my parents' house. It's almost like a theme song for the uncertainty yet total confidence I had about where my life was going at the time. I listen to it to remind me that no one knows what the future will bring, but it'll come whether you're ready or not so HOLD TIGHT

"Break It Down Again" by Tears For Fears
I heard this song randomly on the radio, when I was taking a work break in my car. During work before the break, I had been getting this really inspiring awesome story idea that I've since thrown aside, but I was totally overwhelmed by this song and how it fit the story idea. This was also kinda another theme song for the move to the new house, gave me a feeling of exploration and unknown paths and the future ahead. I love the beat, love the leading chord progression that pulls you in...! So lovely, so marvelous. I'll never stop loving this song. I know it's an old song, but this top 5 is for music that I discovered THIS YEAR so THERE. :D Anyway. Listen to this song, even if you don't listen to any of the rest. This one.
