"In Mushishi, the essence of the natural world is personified by strange, ancient natural forces called “Mushi” that influence the lives of people for reasons yet unknown. The main character, Ginko, is a "Mushi-shi" who seeks the rare Mushi sightings and uses his shaman-like knowledge of them to help the affected people come to terms with their Mushi afflictions.
At the 2006 Japanese Media Arts Festival, both the Mushishi anime and manga were ranked in the top 10 anime and manga series of all time. FUNimation has scheduled the DVD release for Summer 2007."
SUMMER 2007~ SUMMER 2007~ OH GOD, IT'S FINALLY HERE
Oh man, I really like what I see so far. I don't think I'll be able to switch from typing "Mushishi" to "Mushi-Shi" (just a personal preferance, I think both are correct), but seeing the kanji going from left to right instead of top to bottom is such a cool visual symbol of this American release. XD IT LOOKS KINDA COOL. And if you look at the bottom of this page, you can see the series' logo. I love that font, it's all Chinese/Mulan-tastic. XD And having the kanji in red is also win.
*cries* But like, even if the DVDs are coming out Summer, I'd much rather wait until all the DVDs are out so I can buy the whole box set, and who knows how far down the road that will be... ;_; I wonder if they'll mimic the Japanese release and do 9 volumes... But yeah, I want to hear the dub voices NOW. Goshdangit, if only this weren't completely the WRONG kind of show for Adult Swim. ^o^;;;
